To design such models, we should depend on the modern technology-based materials and new techniques such as Defected Ground Structure (D…GS), Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG), Partial substrate Removal (PSR), and Photonic Band Gap (PBG). The Design of antennas with defected ground structures will explore additional resonant frequencies and the improvement in bandwidth is also possible. In this work, design and analysis of CPW-fed monopole antenna for UWB applications are proposed with defected ground structure. Later, a compact L-shaped monopole is designed and substrate removal technique is applied to enhance the bandwidth of the antenna. A fractal antenna with a swastika-shaped structure is designed and a substrate removal technique is applied to enhance the gain of the antenna. Finally, a circular half ring monopole antenna, Stub loaded circular-shaped antenna and a circular notch band antenna a circular notch band antenna a circular notch band antenna a circular notch band antenna a circular notch band antenna with DGS are proposed for ultra wide band applications.

The antenna displays the dual band nature and exhibits the resonating frequencies at 2.5GHz and 4.2GHz. When the antenna is placed in the three-layered phantom model contains of the skin, fat and muscle it resonates at 2. 5GHz. The antenna model 2 consists of a T-shape ground plane which acts as a reflector. The design of frequency reconfigurable antenna is fed by micro strip transmission line feeding using economically available PIN diodes. The suggested antenna can operate at telemetry and WiMAX applications with resonant frequencies of 1.4GHz and 3.6GHz. Frequency switching is acquired by convenient positioning of PIN diodes on the patch. The constructed antenna shows good return loss (S11-10dB) at resonant frequency band.
