Buono stato di conservazione: sporadiche tracce di foxing. Il matrimonio tra Filippo V di Spagna ed Elisabetta Farnese venne celebrato il 16 settembre 1714 nel Duomo di Parma. In occasione delle solenni feste, il duca Francesco Farnese affidò a Ilario Spolverini il compito di realizzare schizzi dal vivo, destinati a essere successivamente rielaborati in grandi tele celebrative.
