Maitland and Dick Calkins (an ex-Army Air Service pilo…t) in 1929 in the momentum following Charles Lindburgh's crossing of the Atlantic. As the title suggests, these are adventure comics about flying small airplanes. The comic strip lasted until 1942. A fine copy. (#147234).
