The map, 90 miles to 1 inch, shows trade routes within the area bounded by Bandar Abbas on the Persian Gulf (SW), Nishapur and Meshed (N), border with the Russian Empire (NE), and Bampur and the Baluchi border (SE), connecting locations such as Kerman, Bam, Birjand, Herat etc, crossing into Afghanistan and British Baluchistan. Some of these routes are named (Palang-Kuh, Nushki, and Meshed-Seistan) and referred in the text.
