The cover remains intact and a…ttached, showing significant age-related wear consistent with use. The spine is structurally intact, though much of the exterior leather has worn away over time; the title stamp remains legible. The text block is complete with all pages present and securely bound. Interior exhibits foxing throughout, along with age toning and wear. Front and rear endpapers have several tears, and the cover is beginning to separate from the binding but remains attached. Despite its flaws, this is a solid and complete example of a scarce nineteenth-century Baptist hymnbook, suitable for collectors of religious Americana, hymnals, church history, and early Baptist publications.
