A hand brandishing an engraver's tool and two pieces of armor, a glove, and a helmet, complete the composition. In 1867 and 1889, the Maison Stern was awarded the Gold Medal at these two World's Fairs. Moïse Stern would later occasionally serve as a member of the jury that awarded this medal. In the 1890s, Mr. Stern brought his son René into the business, which took the name Stern et fils. René Stern took over the shop in 1904. Among its prestigious clients, Maison Stern has had the honor of counting the Élysée Palace for its menus and invitations, embassies, the nobility, and major French and foreign companies.
