Illustrated with facsimile covers, drawings by Kipling, and photos of paintings; 25 page bibliography; the biography takes up most of the rest of the book with discussion of Kipling's works; and an index. Good (soiled gold cloth covers with faded gilt letters on the spine; lightly cocked; shelfworn; spine ends bumped; cracked at reverse frontispiece and pp64-65, 80-81, 144-5, 160-1; faint stain to top edge of pp163 to rfep); 188pp + index.

Illustrations, Anecdotes Bibliographical and Biographical facts anent this foremost writer of fiction.' a complete run of 12 issues; 7 ¼ in. x 4 ¼ in. 188 pp., loose illustrations, etc., some issues are unopened. Printed blue paper wrappers, red silk ties through spine. Front cover of #1 detached, some browning to yapp edges of the very fragile paper covers; spine of #5 chipped; portion of bottom front & back cover of #12 shows some chewing/chipping that very slightly shows on margin of supplemental card & text edges. Items are in VG to fine condition. Very fragile covers have been preserved fairly well by Cleveland, Ohio based author & (Kipling) book collector Munson Havens, who kept them in a small pasteboard box, labelled by him (included with set). Very scarce item, it would be difficult to assemble a set today. Livingston 193; I, p.205-.
