Aggiungi al carrelloEncuadernación de tapa blanda. Condizione: Muy bien. Folio. #1 Jul 1941 - #2 Aug 1941. (lacks #2). Wrappers. Movement. Literary-artistic-scientific, it was a monthly newspaper of only two issues -July and August 1941- directed by Arturo Cambours Ocampo and Marcos Fingerit, two of the great promoters of the universe of literary p…ublications of the 1930s and 1940s. In its pages many of the authors published by Ediciones Hipocampo, the careful and prestigious publishing label of La Palta that was in charge of its own directors, were disseminated. These include Rainer María Rilke, Jean Giono, Macedonio Fernández, Lisardo Zía and Cambours Ocampo and Fingerit themselves. The latter was the creator of innumerable collections in which the typographic art and the excellence of the materials used in the making of the books stand out, added to the quality of the published authors. The list of collaborators is completed by Ramón Gómez de la Serna, Raúl Taborda, Honorio Siccardi, Leónidas Barletta, Alberto Sartoris, Juan Rodolfo Wilcock, Julio Marsagot, Ataúlfo Pérez Aznar, Marcelo Menasché, León Mirlas, Ezequiel Martínez Estrada, Ernesto Sábato, Ángel Mazzei, Julio César Avanza, Alejandro Denis-Krause, José Guillermo Corti, Elena Duncan, Fidel Alsina Fuertes and Héctor Lafleur. Aggiungi al carrelloEncuadernación de tapa blanda. Condizione: Muy bueno. In-4. #1 Sep-Oct 1936 - #15 May-Jun 1939. 6 issues #1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 14. Wrappers. Fábula appeared in La Plata between 1936 and 1939, publishing a total of fifteen numbers under the direction of writer Marcos Fingerit (1904-1979). Born in Rosario but active in La Plata's cultu…ral circles, Fingerit championed various poetry imprints throughout his life such as Cuadernos del Pez Volador, Cuadernos del Rabdomante, and Recados de Fábula and participated in numerous literary publications including Hipocampo, Unicornio, Teseo, Movimiento, Delta, Delfín, Imagen, and Cultura, often alongside his wife, Elena Duncan. In their classic study Las revistas literarias argentinas, Lafleur, Provenzano, and Alonso praise Fingerit for his "notable work as a disseminator of typographic art," stating that Fábula "achieved continental renown." The vast trajectory of Fingerit has been studied by Guillermo Korn and Darío Pulfer, who note that the magazine followed the artisanal model of a homonymous Mexican publication directed by Miguel Nicolás Lira. The Argentine Fábula emerged in the uncertain post-avant-garde period which Arturo Cambours Ocampo proposed calling the "newest generation" (novísima generación) without much success yet it featured authors and texts that anticipated the aesthetic modalities of the so-called Generation of '40. The publication years coincided with the Spanish Civil War (with the sixth issue, not present here, being a vast homage to Federico García Lorca). Fábula featured the collaboration of numerous foreign authors from both sides of the Atlantic, including Xavier Abril, Martín Adán, Camilo José Cela, Ramón Gómez de la Serna, José Lezama Lima, Alfonso Reyes, and Alberto Sartoris, among others. Regarding Argentine contributors, the magazine boasted signatures such as Juan Filloy, Lysandro Z. D. Galtier, Carlos Mastronardi, Enrique Molina, and Adolfo Bioy Casares, who published part of his early production here works he would later repudiate. The magazine also published poetry translations, particularly from French, and featured distinct illustrations outside the text by local and international artists such as Silvina Ocampo, Emilio Pettoruti, Federico García Lorca, Norah Borges, and Hemilce M. Saforcada. Note on Rarity: This set is particularly notable for including Issue No. 8, a number often cited as missing or "unfindable" in major archives and institutional collections. D3.
