The cover has green cloth with dark green letters and a vignette. 248 pages; 11 chapters, each with a b/w illustration at the head; 13 full page, b/w illustrations; turquoise endpapers with illustrations in black. The top end of the text block is brown; the other two ends have darkened and have light foxing. The cover's extremeties and parts of the endpapers (mostly on the pastedowns) have darkened. The pages are lightly tanned; stains are sparse, small, and light. DJ: An illustration spans three panels. The back panel has numerous crease lines and has two vertical tears that separated a large piece from the rest of the DJ. The spine panel has darkened and is chipped on each end. The ends of the flaps' folds have small chips. Scans e-mailed upon request.
