Heavy wear on the spine. Interior is intact and nice, with only a bookplate inside the front cover on the end-paper. Back endpaper beginning to separate from the hinge at the tail. A good reader copy, especially for the young reader. 284 pgs.

Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good++. No Jacket. Paul Frame (illustratore). Front cover has Tom and Becky holding a candle in the cave, while back cover has another version of same. Laminated glossy pictorial boards. Binding nice, with almost no peeling of the lamination that is so common to this era of Whitman Classics books. Some wear on the head and tail of the spine and at the corners. Interior is clean and tight, with only a bookplate inside the front endpaper. 283 pgs. A nice copy for the young reader!

Paul Frame's black and white line drawings on pastedowns and through the book enliven this beloved children's classic.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

There is pencil writing on the fep which has been heavily impressed into the soft paper. Aside from that there is some very minor cello lift on the spine but book is square, bright and tight.
