Nicolas Le Blanc, est une femme de lettres française qui a publié des récits érotiques, dont celui ci sous le pseudonyme de la Vicomtesse de Coeur Brûlant. Le véritable auteur était la marquise de Mannoury d'Ectot, née Le Blanc, qui, avant la guerre de 1870, recevait dans un château d'Argentan des poètes et des artistes. Verlaine et le compositeur Charles de Sivry furent ses hôtes. Quelques années plus tard, ses conditions d'existence ayant sensiblement changé, elle tint à Paris une agence matrimoniale et tenta d'améliorer ses ressources en écrivant quelques livres épicés.
