Margaret Dreier Robins was the actor and author Elizabeth Robins' sister-in-law and a fellow progressive activist on women's issues, immigration, prison reform, etc. etc. Robins was a pioneer in the labor movement, and one of the founders of both the National Women's Trade Union League and the International Congress of Working Women. Her sister Mary Dreier and her partner Frances Kellor lived for many summers at the house and were very active social reformers as well - this book came from their library.
