Admirable poems by England's Poet Laureate in appreciation of all the unsung heroes on the home front during WWII, with many beautiful b& w drawings by Seago (their third such collaboration). A,much nicer book than the description of the dust jacket would indicate.

Has gift inscription to Free Front endpaper, the endpapers being faintly spotted but the main text is clear and clean and binding is firm. Edward Seago (illustratore).
