Gerechtigheid opent de poort voor een jonge vorst (prins Willem V), zodat de weg naar Den Haag voor hem vrij is. Wangunst en Gewapende Woede proberen tevergeefs de deur tegen te houden. De Provincie Holland geeft hem de commandostaf terug. Rechtsvoor de Hollandse Leeuw met het jaartal 1766 (toen de prins stadhouder werd). Op de achtergrond graveert de Dankbaarheid de namen Brunswijk en Rhoon op een erezuil. Vanuit de hemel kijkt het Alziende Oog neer op de gebeurtenissen. Antieke gravure door Mattheus De Sallieth.
