Boller, went West in the 1850's becoming a fur trader on the upper Missouri. He writes of his life as a fur trader in the rare work, Among The Indians, Eight Years In The Far West, 1858-1866. The letters presented here were written by Boller to family at home. In addition, this work presents Boller's journal that he kept while at Ft. Atkinson in the fall of 1858. Near fine.
