Manuscrit original relié en plein velin époque, pièce de titre en partie effacée "Histoire de Laval", in-4 de 29x22 cm environ, *** texte entièrement manuscrit de 499 pages sur beau papier chiffon, environ 25 lignes par page, écriture tout à fait lisible (sans rature),…exemplaire unique [nombreuses variantes et nombreux paragraphes non repris dans l'édition imprimée de 1886]. ***** Ce manuscrit semble être la transcription Serveau, petit-neveu de Bourjolly, qui aurait servi à l'édition du livre en deux tomes : Mémoire Chronologique de Maucourt de Bourjolly sur la Ville de Laval, publié en 1886. *** Une note manuscrite du 19ème siècle, sur un feuillet volant contre-collé en début d'ouvrage, mentionne Cerclot de la Coudrière d'Evron comme étant l'auteur de ce manuscrit "Mémoire de l'Antiquité et du Finage de la Ville de Laval, recueilli de plusieurs auteurs", mais, après vérifications des deux textes, nous sommes en mesure de certifier que c'est une des rares copies du manuscrit de Bourjolly [Probablement la seule copie en circulation]. *** Bertrand de Broussillon, dans l'introduction de l'ouvrage édité, dit avoir utilisé cette troisième rédaction : C'est une copie du texte de 1716, faite en 1797, mais M. Le Fizelier n'a pu consulter que le tome 1er de cette copie, le seul qui existe en bibliothèque, et qui s'arrête à l'année 1500. Plus heureux, Bertrand de Broussillon a pu examiner le manuscrit de M. Cerclot des Coudrières que M. Claude de Monti de Rezé, ancien possesseur, lui a prêté. Ce manuscrit contient dans son intégrité la copie de M.
