This volume was published no earlier than 1976 as that year is printed in some tributes. It contains an "Introduction" by Ivor Keys, with tributes by 5 colleagues of Eisenberg and by 32 of his students. OCLC locates copies in only 4 US libraries and 1 library in Canada.

That said, all lettering is still strong and readable on front and spine. Both covers split at hinge, still holding on by a few threads. Both end papers missing, first signature (to page 15)… loose. Pages are toned and brittle. Last few pages are dog-eared. Dog ears have been left as is given the brittleness of the paper. A not terribly pretty copy. All of our books are individually inspected and described. Never ex-lib unless explicitly described as such.

Externa…lly, book pretty well-cared for (if not ignored for many decades), covers mostly very clean, only light bumping corners and ends, spine cloth faded to light pink. Internally one light thumb smudge fore-edge of p. 28 o/w unmarked and pretty much immaculate w/ an unread look and feel, clean decorative endpapers with hinges intact, pages seem a little brittle w/ hint of tanning starting at the margin edges, no foxing present incl the b&w photographic plates (maybe 8 or 10 in all). Plates incl full page photos of the authors preceding the title page (facing each other), a group trance (?) in a lecture hall, an electrocution test & 3 of The Flints (4 brothers incl Herbert and sister Mariana, one showing Mariana suspended between two chair backs with the 4 brothers standing on her) & Ada St. Claire in a pose.
