Clean internals. Interior hinges are sound and not split 396 pp 8vo. This is a book of 253 poems by some of the best poets in the US who were writing for the newspapers and magazines. The poetry was supposed to be somewhat "suggestive" but by today's standards it is very tame and not ribald at all. It does possess a fine collection of classic prose that serves to teach young people the beauty of rhyme and meter. A clean very presentable copy.

Tide lines also in fore-edge margins up to about page 12, then the tide recedes, so to speak, only to resume in smaller form about page 36, Some page tips bumped. Foxing text block top edge. A battle-scarred but endearing survivor of a cheaply made publication, creeping along towards a second century of existence. Safely stowed now in a clear new Ultra-Pro sleeve.
