The back inside of DJ has reviews of many noted critics from around the USA. Bookseller label on the back inside of DJ. Two pieces of paper are included with the book, as found. (It's my policy to leave whatever is found inside books, with very few exceptions). In this case we have what I think was the publisher's little pamphlet of various items for sale; "Eisenhower painting, Miniature coffee tree, US presidential Plaque, or American's finest road atlas", etc. The second is an old newspaper clipping with "Answers; "AndrewJackson's marriages, Problem of Distance, Miscellany" and various other information. Overall this copy is in very nice condition, tightly bound with DJ. Edward McCandlish (illustratore).…

Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition Thus. First edition thus, hardcover in cloth backed pictorial boards, with the title stamped to the spine. The book has heavy rubbing with area of peeling and scraping to the covers, shallow chips to the cloth at the spine ends, and the boards are exposed nearly all the way around their edges. There are also two small tunnels through the boards, one at the upper rear cover corners and the other at the lower corner of the front, as well as a tear across one page (Mistress Mary/illustration to Little Boy Blue) that has been repaired with small pieces of tape, which have left shadows on the facing pages. Additionally, the previous owner's name/address is written to the front fly leaf and rear paste down, and there are childish pencil drawings and doodles primarily to the end pages, with light smudges and some stray marks to the edges of the pages of text/illustrations, including hand pagination to the tail of some of the early pages. Overall, this book has been well loved, but is complete and solid over all. A charming, Fair only copy. Additional images are available upon request.…
