The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.…

First Edition. First edition in the original illustrated wrappers, frayed to the lower spine and a little foxed to the edges. Inscription to the title page 'with the author's compliments' . A Good+ copy of a scarce item. Allegedly Jock Howieson escued James V from a gang of gipsies or robbers while His Majesty was in disguise as the Laird of Ballengeich.
