Pages are clean and intact overall but first few pages (especially the first page) and bottom edges of most pages have moisture damage and possible mold damage. The rest of the pages are relatively more clean and intact but have light age toning throughout and bumping and wrinkling at corners. Covers are clean and intact overall but have a closed tear at bottom edge of cut-out window on front, about 3 1/2" slit on back with tape repair, splitting along spine, and bumping, chipping, and small closed tears at corners and edges. A Good copy. Dwight F. McKinney's humorous character of Henery returns, this time to show readers around the state of California. Henery goes on a grand tour of Califiornia with his wife, "Ma." Henery and other people in the book make all sorts of comedic remarks as they see different places in California. A well-illustrated promotional booklet advertising California's popular scenic attractions and tours, with emphasis on Southern California. Includes Henry's trip to Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. Brief travelogues spiced with early twentieth-century humor of the traveling salesman variety. "'Be sure and take the Big Tree Trip on your way out of the valley,' says a man I met in camp. 'I came in that way. The folders say it's great.' 'Why do you take the folder's word for it when you went over the trip yourself?' says I. 'Well,' says he, 'I met [a] blonde on the stage and I had to read up on the folder when the trip was over to find out what I should have seen.' We took the man's advice and started one morning on the big tree trip" (p. 11). Light tanning to pages along with Light wear and chipping to over-sized wrappers. Very good.
