Book has at some point gotten wet so about half the cloth has lifted from the boards of the front cover and about a quarter on the back cover. Bright gilt lettering on spine. Endpapers and preliminary pages up to title page are wrinkled and also have two inch…by 1/4 inch bug chewed area up to and including title page. Rear end pages also wrinkled. Hinges are tight and pages apart from very light scattered foxing are clean. text block slightly skewed. Not a handsome book but a decent reading copy. Initial page contains gift inscription to rev. Giles P. Hawley. Hawley was a graduate of the Union Theological Seminary and the pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church in Saratoga Springs, New York. Due to condition, I will not ship this book overseas.
