The mother takes a trip to Jamaica, where she meets Clara Mayfield (Goldberg) who helps her overcome her grief with her no-nonsense straight talk. The mother invites her back to Baltimore to raise their young son (Harris), and Clara is eventually compelled to reveal dark secrets about her past. Pink titled wrappers. Title page present, dated April 8, 1987, noted as Fourth Draft, with credits for screenwriter Medoff and writer Olshan. 128 leaves, mechanical duplication.
