The text block is tight and square, featuring traditional untrimmed, deckled page edges that show natural age-toning and slight dust-darkening. Internally, the pages are largely crisp and clean, with only occasional scattered spotting, most prominent on the endpapers and as faint offsetting to the title page from the frontispiece. The hinges are sound and secure, making this a highly presentable and structurally tight copy. Catalogue Note: This is the expanded 'New Edition' of Thomas Medwin's seminal biography of his cousin, Percy Bysshe Shelley, originally issued in the mid-nineteenth century.
