Aggiungi al carrello24,7 x 26 cm (Blattgröße). Auf Velinkarton montiert (nur an den zwei oberen Ecken angeklebt). Im Unterrand des Blattes von Meid signiert. Karton mit leichtem Anflug von schwachen Stockfleckchen, bei dem Blatt selbst nur stellenweise und völlig marginal am äußersten Rand. Schönes Blatt. Aus der dritten (von vier) Mappe zu Goethes… Gedichten, die Hans Meid illustrierte. Die anderen drei Mappen wurden von Max Liebermann, Ernst Barlach und Karl Walser illustriert. In 100 Exemplaren erschienen. Hier eines der Blätter der beigefügten separaten Suite auf Japan, die auch die nicht in den Text aufgenommenen lithographischen Entwürfe enthält. Vorliegendes Blatt eines von zwei zu oben genanntem Gedicht, wovon vorliegendes nicht in den Text übernommen wurde. Druck der Lithographien durch die Handpresse Lassally, Berlin. Jentsch 517. Inscribed to the German dermatologist Alwin Scharlau. - Settling as a freelance artist in Berlin in 1908, Meid specialized in etching and lithography and created illustrations for works of world literature including "Don Quijote" and Goethe's "Elective Affinities" before he turned towards painting…and drawing around 1922, creating book covers for more than 44 publishing houses. - Some tiny ink spots; small creases near corners. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
