Pijper's Laboratory', and chipped at extremities of backstrip in each case; laboratory ink stamps elsewhere; occasional fox spot. Good. An important work on the occurrence of malarial mosquitoes in South Africa. "The South African Institute for Medical Research in Johannesburg commenced its existence in 1912. Its 'Publications' dating from 1913 include a considerable amount of work on veterinary and medical entomology. . B. de Meillon's work on the Anopheline mosquitoes and his series of studies on insects of medical importance are well known." - A. C.
