In the Introduction to this 122 page volume, the author suggests that 54,00 differnt insect species are knownin Canada - many not yet named. Read more about : Raspberry Sawfly, food hosts, wheat stem maggot, pollinators, egg-laying, leaf sheaths, sarcoptic mange mites,Camel Crickets, Shamrock Spider, Uglynest Caterpillar, and Gladiolus Thrips. There are roughly two insects per page, each with a colour photo. Three categories of description are provided for each : 1) - Appearance and Life History 2) - Food Hosts and Damage and 3) - Control. You may wish to investigate Linden Looper, Superb Plant Bug, or Firebrat. Cond : Paper wrapper is orange with green lettering. Front cover photo is of a Cottonwood leaf beetle. Colours bright, binding tight. Minimal wear. No names nor marks. Front cover has a sharp crease - which has negligible effect. Excellent working copy. Quote (p. 88) : " Both species of flour beetles are common pests of stored plant products in houses, granaries, grocery stores and flour mills. Food products attacked include flour, cereal products, peas, beans, shelled nuts, dried fruits, spices and mild chocolate. Confused flour beetles feed on cracked ._._._. ." Size: 4to.
