Aggiungi al carrelloTthree-quarter length portrait of the painter Anton Raphael Mengs, seated to left, with head turned to look towards the right, holding porte-crayon in his right hand and supporting a portfolio pointing towards the viewer with his left hand; wearing a painter's cloak over jacket fastened by two buttons, and loosely tied neckerchi…ef; after a self-portrait. Inscribed at bottom: "Eques Antonius Raphael Mengs se ipsum pinxit. / Roma presso Domenico Cunego." Signed and dated "Dom. Cunego sculp. 1778". Engraving on paper with margins; plate mark: 300 x 214, total: 393 x 303 mm; some smudges and dirt on the surface, but very readable and charming impression.
