Prima edizione
Soft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. First Edition. 1st printing. Folio (10 1/4" x 13 7/8") subtly, but beautifullly decorated wraps. (32pp). Glossy stock. 12 b/w images (image size 8 1/4" x 11 5/8") by Atkeson with titles by Manly. This are snowy, winter photos taken in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Atkeson (1907-1990) was one of the finest landscape photographers of the Pacific Northwest and he was widely honored, especially in his home of Oregon. Many of his books were elegantly published by Northwest Graphic Arts Center. This title does not appear in his Wiki bio and bibliography. The photographs in this volume are so finely dotted half-tones that they they almost look like as nice as photogravures. Of the twelve images, one has a 4 1/2" hairline crease running to the edge of the sheet in the lower corner, and this is the only reason we grade this copy down to near fine. A rare and desirable item by a master landscape photographer.
