Pictorial Hard Cover. Condizione: Good. The cover has beige cloth with dark brown letters and a graytone illustration. 18 chapters; 5 plates of b/w illustrations; 6 pages of ads in the back. Nine titles are in the author's list in the front. The cover's front gutter is lightly foxed; the back one is more so. The bottom end of the spine strip has a faint stain. One board corner is slightly bumped. The front board's pastedown illustration is a little rubbed along part of two edges. A light, water stain is along the top edge of each plate. The front FEP has a small, light stain left by a label and has a gift inscription dated in 1943. A 3/4 in. peeled tear on the title page is tipped back together with glue.
