Nemopilema nomurai, a giant Asian jellyfish, has bloomed frequently during this decade, causing severe damage to the Japanese fishing industry. Syntheses andoriginal research articles address the question if jellyfish have increased globally and what factors may have contributed to the abundance of jellyfish.
