Published in 1782 to commemorate the opening of the world's first major bridge to be built in Cast Iron, crossing the River Severn in Shropshire, near Coalbrookdale opened in 1781. The engraving was drawn by Michael Angelo Rooker, and engraved by William Ellis. Published in London by James Phillips is in a frame measuring 28 inches by 21 inches approx. there is general browning to the paper, a split to the paper along top edge (see pictures) a few small lightened marks, else in good general condition. Due to great possibility of the engraving being damaged whilst in the post, I prefer that the buyer collects from my house, which is located only a 10 minute drive from The Ironbridge.
