Die Engel haben ein großes Fest vorbereitet. Die Milchstraße wurde auf Hochglanz poliert und die Sterne extra geschmückt. Zunächst ist ein Ausflug zu den Sternschnuppen geplant. Die sind für die Schutzengel besonders wichtig, weil sich die Menschen, wenn sie sie sehen, etwas wünschen können. Zum ersten Mal darf auch Maximilian mit. Er ist vier Jahre alt und hat letzte Woche seine erste Prüfung zum Nachwuchs- Schutzengel bestanden. Nachdem der Harfenspiel- Unterricht beendet ist, eilt er nach Hause. Dort zieht er sich warme Kleidung an: ein dickes Hemd, einen Schal und Handschuhe. Auch sein Glöckchen vergisst er nicht. Maximilian weiß, dass der Gang zu den Sternschnuppen ein alter Brauch und gleichzeitig seine letzte Prüfung ist. Doch ausgerechnet jetzt fällt ihm sein Glöckchen aus der Hand.
