Wor…in liegt der anhaltende Widerspruch, mit dem sein malerisches Werk wahrgenommen wird? Und welche Bedeutung hat sein Werk, das in der Münchner Neuen Pinakothek in einem eigenen Saal (Nr. 15) ausgestellt wird, für einen zeitgenössischen Künstler wie Olaf Metzel (*1952)?
