These stories were the most enjoyable to write because there's no emotion incurred in the recall of the events. This writer believes that all short stories should proffer some guidance to our journey through this life. No preaching, but a conclusion, hopefully subtle, that may aid in our comprehension. Here are a few in this collection: The Biblical dictum of "render unto Caesar." The characters are compelled by greed and a thirst for adventure. An accurate portrayal of what happens in a religious environment with no financial controls on minister and his spending. A decent man, suffering from hubris, who made mistake after mistake, then the fatal one. The rescue of a business relationship demonstrates the power of an organization when its talent is properly managed. Extreme risk will usually carry an extreme penalty. Occasionally arrogance in politics is identified and dealt with. Taking a principled stand is difficult if pursued alone.
