During the war, he joined the resistance. In 1945, he attended the House of the French Thought and quickly became a regular in St Germain-des-Pr?s, alongside the Paris intelligentsia (philosophers, poets, writers, painters and sculptors, actors, musicians). Bernard Quentin travels extensively and shows his work in personal or collective exhibitions as early as 1945, participating in many Parisian salons, multiform artist, painter (oil, gouache, watercolors), draftsman, illustrator, sculptor, tapestry painter, mosaicist, stained glass, sets In addition to various achievements according to the periods, Bernard Quentin will anchor his work in a continuous way on the object-letter and the word-object. It has contributed to the emergence of a "semiotic art" through which, questioning the form of language, it leads to questions about the language of form.
