Aggiungi al carrello"Sales/posting to the USA suspended". Hard cover laminated pictorial boards, 340pp, b&w photos. A fine copy. In May 1943, a Japanese submarine torpedoed the brilliantly-lit and unarmed Hospital Ship Centaur off Brisbane. She sank in 3 minutes, and 268 people, all non-combattants, were lost. Many questions have been asked about this incident, with some speculation about the Centaur's use for carrying munitions and troops, and its purpose so close to the coast that night. The authors address the accusations and explore the conjecture in an attempt to solve this 60 year old mystery.
