These handwritten journalsapproximately 750 pages in totalcapture the lived experience of a woman sailor in the 1970s, from logistical challenges and navigation notes to rich personal reflections, social encounters, and vivid scenes from harbors around the world. Mimi Dyer, a 1959 Smith College graduate and contributor to Sail Magazine, was recognized with her husband in 1979 for completing a full circumnavigation. The couple's adventures were later profiled in Cruising World Magazine (2004), where they spoke fondly of the journey that began on their honeymoon and spanned oceans.
