The PPDIOO lifestyle approach was used to develop the model, prototype and set-up the project. Devices in the WPAN were identified using IPv6 to enable scalability. One FFD ZigBee device coordinated the WPAN and enabled multi-path forwarding of data collected to a Network Coordinator. Les progrès récents en matière de télémétrie permettent désormais d'obtenir des données fiables sur les compteurs d'eau. Cependant, aucune compagnie des eaux n'a mis en place une stratégie de collecte de données à distance basée sur la technologie. Une solution WPAN-to-WAN Zigbee pour la collecte des données des compteurs d'eau est donc une solution viable. Cette étude s'est penchée sur la capacité à créer un modèle, un prototype et un projet pour un réseau de capteurs de compteurs d'eau basé sur la norme ZigBee IEEE 802.15.4. Le réseau maillé résultant a permis la collecte de données enregistrées à partir des capteurs du compteur d'eau en temps réel, à distance et avec précision. L'approche du style de vie PPDIOO a été utilisée pour développer le modèle, le prototype et la mise en place du projet. Les dispositifs du WPAN ont été identifiés en utilisant IPv6 pour permettre l'évolutivité. Un dispositif FFD ZigBee a coordonné le WPAN et a permis le transfert multivoie des données collectées vers un coordinateur de réseau. Le modèle, le prototype et le projet développés dans cette étude ont servi à informer le développement du WSN.

Diese Studie befasste sich mit der Fähigkeit, ein Modell, einen Prototyp und ein Projekt für ein Wasserzähler-Sensornetzwerk auf der Grundlage des IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee-Standards zu erstellen. Jüngste Fortschritte in der Telemetrie liefern nun zuverlässige Wasserzählerdaten. Bisher hat jedoch noch kein Wasserversorgungsunternehmen eine technologiebasierte Strategie zur Ferndatenerfassung eingeführt. Eine Zigbee WPAN-to-WAN-Lösung für die Datenerfassung von Wasserzählern ist daher eine praktikable Lösung. Diese Studie befasste sich mit der Fähigkeit, ein Modell, einen Prototyp und ein Projekt für ein Wasserzähler-Sensornetzwerk auf der Grundlage des IEEE 802.15.4 ZigBee-Standards zu erstellen. Das daraus resultierende Mesh-Netzwerk ermöglichte die Erfassung von Daten, die von den Wasserzähler-Sensoren in Echtzeit ferngesteuert und genau erfasst wurden. Der PPDIOO-Lifestyle-Ansatz wurde für die Entwicklung des Modells, des Prototyps und der Einrichtung des Projekts verwendet. Die Geräte im WPAN wurden mit IPv6 identifiziert, um Skalierbarkeit zu ermöglichen. Ein FFD-ZigBee-Gerät koordinierte das WPAN und ermöglichte die Weiterleitung der gesammelten Daten über mehrere Pfade an einen Netzwerkkoordinator.
