A clean very presentable copy.

The interior is bright with no markings that I could see; Gilt trimmed head with rough cut fore edge.

Mitchell (1829-1914) was the leading American neurologist of his time and performed over 350 experiments upon the cerebellum. He emphasized its co-ordinating function, first postulated by Flourens, and he proposed his 'augumentor…' theory of cerebellar gunction. (G&M 1404). Given as the Presidential Address at the Opening of the Congress of American Physicians and Surgeons, Sept. 23, 1891.
