Ah, Histoire de ma vie (History of My Life), better known to the world as Casanova's Memoirs, is a classic of European literature and a treasure trove of 18th-century social history. Written by the notorious adventurer and self-proclaimed ladies' man Giacomo Casanova, it's a whirlwind journey through his travels, escapades, and, of course, love affairs. Despite its controversial subject matter, Casanova's Memoirs is a literary masterpiece. Casanova's writing is witty, engaging, and often surprisingly philosophical. He paints vivid portraits of the people he meets and the places he visits, transporting the reader to another time and place. A faded binding but good reading copy with drawings by Vincente Minelli.

Cloth. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. Vincente Minnelli (illustratore). The light raspberry binding has a woman outlined in silver stamped into the cover, the corners are lightly bumped, there is a small hole to the cloth on the bottom edge, the title is in silver on the spine; there are some water spots to the top edge of the back cover. The top, fore and bottom edges have a small amount of foxing. The endpapers are age yellowed with a former owners name, the first free endpaper has some water damage. The frontispiece is a black and white drawing. The interior is bright and clean. The dust jacket has some chips and tears but it does not hurt the black and white drawing or the blue title on the front, the back of the jacket has other books by Rarity press, Inc., the corners are uncut.

Hardcover. Octavo, 290 pages. In Good condition with a Poor dust jacket. Spine pictorial silver with blue lettering. Exterior shows severe wear including several instances of open chips to the edges, scuffing and soiling. Slight age toning and minor offsetting to jacket interiorly. Boards have modest wear including sunning and rubbing to the edges. Text block has very light wear including age toning and slight soiling to the edges. Deckled fore edge. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Frontispiece. Slight offsetting to the end papers, page twenty three and facing page. Illustrated. NOTE: Shelved in Netdesk Column O, ND-O. 1390182.
