There is no greater example of the results of this approach to warfare than the tragedy of August 6, 2011. It occurred in the Wardak province of Afghanistan, where a US Chinook helicopter, call sign Extortion 17, was shot down in a Taliban ambush , killing thirty Americans, and seven Afghan National Army personnel and one interpreter. Fifteen of those killed were some of America's finest and most dedicated warriors from Seal Team Six . . . One of the Seals on Extortion 17 was Aaron Vaughn, the son of Karen and Billy Vaughn." The Vaughns investigated what happened and did not like what they found. On the tilele page, there are two insciptions. The one by the author is: "Eric, Thank you for reading Aaron's story B C V 12-10-15 Hosea 4:6" The other one expresses similar sentiments and, I believe (but am not absolutely sure), is signed by Karen Vaughn, prelims + 248 pages. Includes References and Notes. The book and the dust jacket have neither wear nor defects. Shortly after buying the book, installed an archival quality Brodart book jacket cover.
