Galway , dated July 1888, untrimmed fore and bottom edges, top edge gilt, very good in rather warped original vellum and gilt, textblock also wavy. British poet, orator and unrequited suitor of Florence Nightingale. Inscribed to Crawford, a novelist who now is known mostly for a half-dozen short horror tales that appear in nearly every cheap anthology.
