Hubin [297 and 330] does not list this title under the Mooney pseudonym; rather, it is listed under the John W. Postgate titles - but indicating that Donohue did not publish until 1894. Here we have the wrong author and the wrong publication date, but the book definitely exists and is uncommon to scarce. Green decorative cloth binding stamped in black on the front cover and spine, which is titled in gilt. Clean text; 288 pages, with light toning. Frontis illustration and fifteen others within by True Williams. Noted as part of the "Mooney & Boland Detective Series."
