Ce travail à été imprimé l'année du décès de Brôlemann . «Né à Lyon en 1826, A. Brölemann est commissionnaire en soieries, dirigeant de la Société Brölemann & Cie, fondée par son père Émile Thierry. Il épouse, en 1853, sa cousine, Anna Sévène (dont le frère est président de la Chambre de commerce de Lyon entre 1881 et 1889). Il est élu juge au tribunal de commerce de Lyon en 1866, dont il est le président (1872-1876 et 1878-1880). Il se présente sans succès aux élections législatives de 1885, puis au Sénat en 1891. Il est administrateur des hospices civils de Lyon, de la Société lyonnaise de crédit dont il est vice-président, de la Banque de France, et membre du consistoire de l'église réformée de Lyon. Il est également membre de la Chambre de commerce de Tunis (1888-1890) : il possède une créance élevée sur une propriété de Mégrine (ancienne créance sur la Société Bontoux & Cie).
