Er ist nicht nur auf Spurensuche nach alten Produktionsstätten und Bunkeranlagen gegangen, sondern hat sich vor allem mit der universell einsetzbaren `Reichsarbeitsdienst`-Baracke (RAD) auseinander gesetzt. Zu welchen Zwecken… wurde diese eingesetzt und wie hat sich die Verwendung im Laufe der Jahre verändert, auch nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg? Eines seiner letzten Arbeiten ist der Nachbau eines Grundgerüstes einer solchen Baracke, die er im Bürgerpark Oberföhring am Rande Münchens errichtete. Für Becker ist ein zentrales Thema seiner Arbeit das Licht. Bei seinem 1995 verwirklichten Projekt Licht im Lazarett fuhr er durch Wand und Bodenzeichnungen die Schatten nach, wie sie sich durch den sich verändernden Lichteinfall durch den Raum bewegten. `Es entstand ein Gitterwerk aus Linien, das das architektonische Gehäuse in einen Zeit-Raum verwandelte in ein Kontinuum, in dem vorherige und spätere Zustände der Schattenzeichnung gleichzeitig präsent waren.` Beatrice von Bismarck.
