Mr. Alexander de Munck de Jonge, oud-burgemeester van Middelburg, heeft de huisvrouw van Francoys Velters, heer van Aagtekerke, overgehaald haar man te verlaten en met hem 'weg te loopen'. Zij heeft samen met De Munck en ene Breugel uit Den Haag en Maria den Boer geldswaardige papieren, juwelen, goud, zilver, meubelen etc. meegenomen. Op 8 juli 1679 is men vertrokken met het schip van Christiaan Stoel van Middelburg naar Dordrecht. Op 18 juli zijn De Munck en vrouw Velters van Veere vertrokken met een schip van Johan Ros tot onder Oosterland, waar zij aangehouden zijn. De Munck vluchtte naar Den Haag en werd 14 augustus 1679 gedagvaard voor het begane Crimen raptus.Nagtglas geeft nog meer bijzonderheden: De Munck was geboren te Middelburg in 1655, studeerde te Leiden en kwam reeds in 1676 in de regering van zijn geboortestad. De vrouw van Velters heette Henriette Thibaut en was een dochter van burgemeester Thibaut. Op aansporing van Velters werd De Munck in Den Haag gegrepen en op de Voorpoort gevangen gezet. In 1681 kreeg hij -vooral omdat Henriette vrijwillig was meegegaan- abolitie van de stadhouder en na de dood van Velters trouwde hij met Henriette. Hij bekleedde hierna tal van hoge functies, kocht in 1679 de heerlijkheid West Souburg en liet in 1691 een prachtig buiten bij Veere aanleggen: 'Niet altijd zomer', waar hij in 1719 overleed.Knuttel 11683; Nagtglas, Zeeuwen pag. 240-244.
