Gebraucht - Sehr gut SG - Ungelesenes Mängelexemplar, gestempelt, mit leichten Lagerspuren - Der Katalog versammelt zahlreiche, selten gezeigte Werke von Oskar Kokoschka: Gemälde, Aquarelle, Zeichnungen und druckgrafische Arbeiten, die unter dem Begriff des 'Capriccio' zusammengefasst werden können - also flüchtig und spontan geschaffene Kunstwerke mit starkem Improvisationscharakter. Kokoschka fertigte diese Arbeiten u.a. auf Reisen, beim gemeinsamen Abendessen mit Freunden, oder beim Besuch von Zirkusveranstaltungen. Die Situation, der Augenblick, die kleine Geste, das unspektakuläre Detail - ganz unterschiedlich sind die Motive, die die Aufmerksamkeit des Künstlers erregten und offenbar faszinierend genug waren, als dass er sie im Bild festzuhalten versuchte. Es handelt sich somit um persönliche, private 'Notizen', die selten das Ziel verfolgten, weiter entwickelt und über verschiedene Stadien in einem anderen Zusammenhang vollendet zu werden. Der Katalog fasst Kokoschkas 'Capriccii' in thematisch geordneten Abschnitten zusammen und erscheint anlässlich der gleichnamigen Ausstellungen im Kunsthaus Stade (12.02.12 - bis 28.05.12) und in der Städtischen Galerie 'Die Fähre' in Bad Saulgau (30.06.12 - 16.09.12).
