Aggiungi al carrelloHardback. Condizione: Near fine. First Edition. 24 x 24cm 72pp near fine hardback with colour reproductions, inscribed on the title page to 'Dear Wenny' signed 'Naiza 4.04.14'. One of Pakistan s most prolific contemporary artists, Naiza Khan has been a major contributor both to the local art scene and on international art platforms. Born in 1968 in the city of Bahawalpur, in the province of Punjab, Khan received her education at notable institutions such as the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford, where she received her BFA in 1990, and the Wimbledon School of Art, London. Since beginning her career, she has worked out of London and Karachi, Pakistan s southern coastal metropolis. Though trained mainly as a painter and a printmaker, Khan is best described as a multidisciplinary artist. Her mediums over the years have included film, photography, sound, latex, metal, and henna, alongside prints and large-scale watercolor and charcoal drawings. Spanning three decades, Khan s practice has addressed a number of concerns, ranging from issues of gender identity to colonialism to climate change.
