This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -This book discusses a dynamic characterization method of hybrid Photovoltaic/Thermal (PV/T) collector. The methodology extends the quasi-dynamic thermal model of the EN 12975 to involve the electrical performance using a single-diode photovoltaic model. The results obtained from the proposed model revealed that the characteristic parameters included in the model reasonably agree with the experimental values obtained from standard steady-state test, effective heat capacity and I-V characteristic curve measurements. After a calibration process, the proposed model could be used as a suitable tool to predict the thermal and electrical performance of a hybrid solar collector, for a specific weather data set. In terms of dynamic thermal characterization, the thermal model has led to a simpler process and a shorter test period in comparison with the EN 12975. Moreover, the methodology for the electrical characterization presents more flexibility to obtain the output power for wide range of weather conditions than the model stated in the standard IEC 61215 used for the characterization and certification of photovoltaic modules. 144 pp. Englisch.
